SBC Energy & Petroleum, in collaboration with Awani & Partners, is developing the Richards Bay LNG Hub — a landmark project that positions South Africa as a major player in the global LNG market.
Key Project Highlights:
- FSRU Capacity: 90,000 MT — USD 150 million investment
- Shuttle Vessels: Four units, managing 70,000 MT/month — USD 300 million investment
- Total Capital Investment: ~USD 500 million, financed through A & P consortium
- Operational Model: Take-or-Pay agreements with anchor off-takers with clients
